who's playing?
Re: World Series (for those who care)
Cardinals win. Rangers = good offense, shitty pitching. Cardinals are an all around better team. welcome to the NL where your pitcher is going to have to bat, GL with that.

Rangers take it. Their strong offense is enough to overcome other deficiencies they have compared to the Cardinals. Plus, I'm rooting for the ex-Red, Josh Hamilton. Still can't believe they got rid of him...
Re: World Series (for those who care)
Well last year I said the Rangers would take it and they should have. Saying the same thing this year. The Giants' offensive explosion during last year's WS was a total fluke.
The Cards are a weaker opponent than the Giants were. And the Rangers' pitching isn't terrible. The rotation was very good throughout the regular season; they're just in a slump at the moment. Hopefully that'll turn around for this series. I'm counting on CJ to put up some really good innings this WS so he can up his free agent value. His problem is that he thinks he's such a grandmaster pitching wizard and everyone is playing checkers while he's playing chess. Oh, it's their number 8 hitter who bats .230 for the year and has gotten 2 hits in his last 20 at bats? Let me start the AB with a backdoor slider. Ugh...
Anyways, Rangers pitchers are due. Cards pitchers are probably due for some good appearances as well. I think it'll be a lower scoring affair than I'm hearing people predict.
EDIT: Actually Rangers batters have actually fared pretty well in interleague play. I think CJ got a triple this year, Colby Lewis a home run. Maybe one of those was last year. So maybe they'll do something positive ><

Re: World Series (for those who care)
to me this is pretty difficult to call, and id be surprised if it wasnt a close series. going to 7 games, which is fairly likely, would be awesome.
Re: World Series (for those who care)
Indeed. The Tigers series was really great. Hopefully this one will be good too. Even if the Rangers end up losing, I'd like it to be more entertaining than the Giants series. That one was just crappy all around.
Re: World Series (for those who care)
**** St. Louis. I'm pulling for the Rangers.
I think the Rangers have better hitting and the Cardinals pitching doesn't put the fear of god in me.

Eh I think baseball is a sport you really have to have played to appreciate. If you didn't grow up with it you just don't get it (usually).
