Big words, convincing argument. Sarcasm sarcasm sarcasm. POLITICAL DIATRIBE. Generic statement.

Invitation to deal with it, brother.

unpro wrote:he encourages preventable deaths by allowing guns and grenades to flow into mexico against the wishes of gun store owners and ATF/Border patrol field agents, keeping iraq and afghanistan open theaters of operation, and initiating new theaters of combat in africa. he has a peace prize, and hes done nothing to justify it but cause more deaths.

DADT was on its way out soon regardless of who was in office. it couldnt stand up to scrutiny and if it wasnt the president repealing it, the courts would have soon enough.

and the healthcare reform is getting thrown out in courts(the major parts he wanted that is). there are simpler ways to ease the burden of health care costs than forcing insurance upon the entire population. rushing it caused a massive backlash that has now has probably set real reform of our medical system back years.

to late james.
Brb president that has made ZERO mistakes. I'm not carrying some torch for Obama saying he's perfect; simply saying he has done things far greater than Ron Paul could accomplish.

you realize the hilarity in that statement right? the sheer horror that kind of thinking has unleashed on the world right?
Some cultures might condone pedophilia.

The morality of those cultures are inferior to those which condemn pedophilia.

Please, try to tell me I'm wrong.

Moral relativism is the dumbest shit ever. Brb some Middle Eastern cultures PROMOTE the murdering of one's daughter when she's brutally raped. Brb not in a position to call that culture morally incorrect.

I'm not an atheist, but I couldn't agree with Sam Harris more when he said (something along the lines of): We don't listen to the Taliban as authorities on physics, so where did we get this idea that their understanding of morality is of equal worth to our own?

Since when did we have to treat every opinion on morality as equal? Tell me if your child was raped and murdered that you would NOT call the criminal who did so an immoral and utterly horrific human being. Thanks.

as alex was saying, moral relativism has not and cannot explain the world we live in. the tide is definitely switching back. just like everything, theres a pendulum that goes back and forth and in the last 5 years or so, even in the academic community there is a consensus that some form of universal morality must and does exist. whatever that is of course is always going to be up for debate
