RIP Jason "spG" Bednarz

Post by ryN »

I am not sure if this has been posted yet, I'm very late on receiving this information - almost 2 years late to be exact. This unfortunate story was given to me by a good friend, and ex-teammate, sh|ftynou.

Jason "spG" Bednarz passed unexpectedly in his sleep on Feb. 28th 2010. Jason was part of the RBC [strike]team[/strike] family back in the early 2000's. I knew him just briefly compared to the rest of the RBC guys like shifty, bewton, rogueverve, eckman, dante, etc. For the brief time I had got to know him, he was always very welcoming, and fun to be around. I am just happy to have had the privilege of knowing Jason, albeit short, and I'm sure anyone that has encountered him in DoD or real life never had anything bad to say about the guy. He will be missed.

A great article about his life and who he was:

I had no idea of this either, I remember him well.

I wonder if there are other notable beta players that have passed away. :(

here is a link to the RBC movie which Jason was a part of if anyone cares to watch. If someone could upload the video on youtube or something, that would also be great and easier.

Terrible news Jason was an awesome guy, got the chance to hang out with him a few times at the w2z lans. The one where BRONX was asking if he was 18 cause he wanted to fight him was the most hilarious thing I remember about
