Well this map looks like it's trying to lessen the advantage of certain spots on the map that are pretty dominating once you control middle, making it a more fast-paced map where mid can swing back and forth the whole half. It misses the point (from what I can tell) of the fast pace if it doesn't consider why it's hard for axis to retake middle when they lose it (47 angles to peek because of windows, arches, doorways, rooftops, etc.). I think if you changed the hotel so that there was one window overlooking slab and then one over the area between arches/door that would make it a lot more difficult for allies to control the middle of the map as well. I also like the widening of the backalley exit to tree (it looks like it's wider at least) to make the shot from the ruins more difficult.

stealth you missed my point. you said you liked donner more when it's played like harrington. Donner is a map that is almost the exact opposite of harrington. and this thread is about changing donner to be more fast paced, like harrington...

so why dont you just play harrington?

I always felt like the biggest problem with Donner was the bunker. Find a good solution for that and the map will play much faster with the heavies involved

"more fast paced" Donner =/= Harrington.

Improving a map like Donner doesn't mean taking away the maps own unique style. Fix the gayest things that are just plain retarded and it'll improve what's already good about it

I can agree with that. Just a whole real-work and re-design and re-texture isn't necessary, at least in my opinion. Just copy the map exactly and then just fix the gay spots. ^

I think he's just trying to make a map where he has full advantage and knows about all sorts of in map cookies.

Looks great.
