Casting.
Casting.
I know I'm relatively unknown among the community, and have just briefly chatted among everyone in the dod 1.3 community in the past few days, but I have aspirations towards casting league matches. I used to play somewhat competitively 3 years or so ago, and I understand the game fairly well, but need some touching up. I'm not sure if there is a dedicated caster among the community or league, but if there isn't an official channel or anything, I would be glad to do casting for league matches. I would also only do it if there was interest in it. I have a lot of experience in shoutcasting not only CS but also DoD:S as well. I was the official caster for WOGL for 2 seasons of Crossfire (another decently popular FPS game similar to CS, but with more worldwide popularity and competition compared to DoD) as well as the official caster for CSN back when they carried Crossfire as a game. I have casted CS:S and CS 1.6, and casted for the US DoD:S team during their trip in Nations Cup this past year. I am now also the official media director for ESG, another up and coming league, mainly catering to Crossfire, but in the future it will be expanding to other leagues as well. I wasn't sure who to contact directly concerning casting, so I figured I would make a general post about it. I certainly have the experience and the voice to do the casting, but I would like some community feedback and know if its worth pursuing.

Re: Casting.
Myself and another member of the community did a few shoutcasts last season which everyone seemed to enjoy. I think that there is enough interest in it to make it worthwhile. The only reason we stopped is because we had matches to play in and it became too much of a hassle. I would be happy to help you with whatever questions I could answer. I'm sure that Sears would be happy to help you get the shoutcasts onto the front page of the website too. WOULDNT YOU ERIC
