Mouse Problem

Post by CharlieGiteau »

My mouse will quit working intermittently every once in a while. It stops responding completely, and you hear the windows sound when a device is either unplugged, or turned off. I had this issue before, but updating windows fixed it. I applied some more updates and now it's doing it again. It doesn't matter what game I'm playing, or simply browsing the Internet. It stops working for about 3-5 seconds, then starts working again. I went to Logitech and downloaded the latest drivers they had for my mouse (MX518/g500). Seems that it doesn't do it quite as often, but it's still a problem. Any input is appreciated, thanks!

Try different usb ports or use a ps/2 adapter.

Not much help, but when I had that problem, I started using another mouse.

It's not that old either. I guess I'll play with the cord where it goes into the mouse itself and see if it starts cutting out...

Might have to hit up BestBuy prior to the match. Thanks for the heads up!

Edit: Happy birthday Tragik

Just out of curiosity which mouse do you have?

I have had two brand new Logitech g5 bf 2142- that did the same after about 1-2 months of use..
