Re: Mouse Problem
Well, they offered a new mouse, but now I must find the receipt, or some proof of purchase. Looks like I'll be going to buy a new mouse, lol.

"I won it as a prize a year ago" worked for meCharlieGiteau wrote:Well, they offered a new mouse, but now I must find the receipt, or some proof of purchase. Looks like I'll be going to buy a new mouse, lol.
Re: Mouse Problem
like dan said, call Logitech and get a new one for free. The cable is probably fraying inside.

Edit: I wonder if BestBuy will have the receipt on file. Anyone have an idea? Couldn't get anyone to answer the phone, so its not looking good.
Re: Mouse Problem
From my buddy who is a best buy employee,
. He thinks I want to return something though not just get a proof of purchase. English is not his first language. If you have reweard zone i can. If you're returning a purchase without a receipt that could be done as well. It depends on the siuation. Best we can do is store credit if its opened and been a long time.

If you paid with CC you should be able to spot it w/ online banking.CharlieGiteau wrote:Already told them I purchased itscorch- wrote:"I won it as a prize a year ago" worked for meCharlieGiteau wrote:Well, they offered a new mouse, but now I must find the receipt, or some proof of purchase. Re: Mouse Problem
I found the purchase (debit card), it was back in March. So the mouse died in 6 months. Just trying to figure out how I can see what was purchased to confirm it, and I think that will take BestBuy checking any type of sales records they have at that specific store(which they obviously should).scorch- wrote: If you paid with CC you should be able to spot it w/ online banking.
They said they'll accept pictures of the receipt and mouse, via email, and send my new one out to my address. They're giving me one week to reply.

Re: Mouse Problem
In my experience if you call Logitech instead of emailing them they will only ask for ether proof of purchase off of a receipt, or the serial number off the bottom of the mouse, not both. If they do ask for the receipt, try calling again at a later time, you might get lucky and get a more flexible sales rep.
So if you don't have any luck getting a receipt from Best Buy try giving Logitech a call, and be sure to have your mouse's serial number written down or have the mouse there when you call them, or they will get pissy at you.

Re: Mouse Problem
If you talk nicely to them on the phone, they'll replace it as long as you send the old mouse to them. I called them a while back when my scroll wheel stopped working and after explaining that I didn't have the receipt, they agreed to send me a new one upon receiving the old one. Trouble is, I had already smashed it with a hammer (literally), so they wouldn't replace it, and I really couldn't blame them.
Re: Mouse Problem
the recipe should be associated in their booking system with your debit card number, even if not through the serial number they should be able to track back when they got it or when the thing got manufactured.CharlieGiteau wrote:I found the purchase (debit card), it was back in March. in my experience there are several ways to get it changed, option one would be to talk to the manufacture nicely if they don't wanna replace it or tell you the change it where you bought it start crying about that they told you you should talk to them and that they wanted to charge you for it and what kind of bad change management that is and that you wont buy anything from them again. Or go to best buy and try to get it changed there if some regular sales wont do it ask for the manager and try explaining it to him with the credit card recipe of course if then you still don't get it changed start talking louder that other customer hear your complaints and about that they wanna change it regularly that helps a lot i got that way things changed which i broke or had no recipe at all and even in a different store then i bought it.
