Most fun I ever had in a pub then lol. It was 12v12 if I remember and the match lasted most of the day. Like 8 hours long or something. You had to sit in the waiting to play queue in the subs area for your team and as people dropped out the next in line go to go in. I had a good time. It was a little cooler than a pub because you had a set map for the week just like a normal 6v6 league and your team got together and organized strats and starters for the week. You played with the same team all season and they kept track of the final score and had standings and you could win the championship. The maps were usually ginormous. I had a great time doing it. I wish I remembered the names of some of those maps.
Bullet, that's not how it was at all... I don't remember how many players were in per game... but you were either Axis or Allies for the season. You were each fighting to control Europe. For example, Allies might try to capture Italy one week. The map would then be Anzio. There would be several battles like this going on each week, I think 3 or 4 each week. There was a ranking system, medals, promotions etc. There always needed to be some sort of officer in each server on both sides, and the officers would nominate who would get non-stat based medals.
I remember being told what route I was replacing, and then what gun I had to use. One map I remember is where the double cap in the mid was able to be hit by mortars is the spawn. It seemed like it was more than 12v12, but it was so long ago.

I'm pretty sure it was only once a week, but maybe we played in it at different times. You are correct your team was either Axis or Allies.

I played in like 2001. For an entire week you'd have 3-4 battles going on for different countries. Like I said, if Italy was contested there would be a server going on Anzio for the entire week, France would be on Caen etc.
