Dear Joey, Jules, and Ricky
Re: Dear Joey, Jules, and Ricky
agreed wintehs. i mean, it's not even about "functional strength" (i hate that term cuz its what retarded ass cross fitters use all the time to promote their retarded workouts.) but its just about not looking like a weak little bitch. squats and deadlifts as well as 2-3 other olympic style full body lifts will build the foundation of your muscular physique. there are some dudes you just look at (strong no homo) and they just look strong as ****. even if they aren't that huge. there are other dudes with big biceps and probably a 6 pack when they flex but they still just look lanky and weak like a girl. so like i said.. if u are going after young immature girls who want a 6pack and biceps, keep doing your curls in the squat rack and crunches. but most girls who are into guys that work out appreciate a strong looking physique and arent a big fan of skinny ass twig legs.
i take pride in squats and my legs are my strong point, and i can honestly say almost every girl ive ever been with will at least make comments and appreciate the fact i work out my legs... and some straight up feel them up. not to mention dat dere squat ass. guys aren't the only ones that like nice asses. chicks dig it too.

I am pretty sure if I performed that split my arms or shoulder joints would be ruined. Kind of like you Joey, I pride myself in squatting, especially because I basically own the rack at my gym... I try to advocate its use as much as possible, especially where I workout, because everyone has the bicep/chest mentality. Unless they of course want to absolutely shred their legs up squatting on the smith machine with a plate on each side, that seems to be really popular.
As wintehs said, everyone starts off working the glamour muscles. I truthfully rarely workout my arms anymore. When I step into the gym, I want to actually get my heart beating.

Damn Ryan, we may need to go over routines together. I could really use some ab workouts, my 500+ crunches a day aren't getting rid of my belly the way I thought they would.

Re: Dear Joey, Jules, and Ricky
thank you for clearing that up. i knew you were trolling but in the back of my mind i wasnt sure.... sorry for going off on you lol. glad to hear you like your squats. and good point about the arms... if you are doing the right compound lifts, your arms get hit more than enough and you don't really need to do many isolation arm exercises. i throw them in there about once every 10 days or maybe once every 2 weeks or so.ao_ wrote:I am pretty sure if I performed that split my arms or shoulder joints would be ruined.
