Re: Your biggest DOD influences
I taught myself how to play, but I'm currently looking for a mentor to take my game to the next level. PM ME

HN - He was the player that made me more interested in the garand then the kar. His movements were way ahead of his time and his aim just seemed flawless.
Marshall - Just an amazingly fast sniper...his harrington long sniper clip blew my mind back in the day.
Dark Rabbi - Just because he's dark rabbi
Plex - Loved his old movie with the linkin park music.
Dorito - Back in CPL 2004 we beat tm on donner! After that we would play them almost every season on donner for which they won the next 200 matches. Best player at taking disadvantages and turning them into advantages imo.
Money-B - Even though Micol used to put up huge numbers every single thing he did in the game, he did for the benefit of the TEAM. Best teammate I've ever had.
Batman, .img-, Clone Rizzo - We just enjoyed playing the game so much together and had fun day in and day out. Love these [strike]gays[/strike] guys.

Re: Your biggest DOD influences
First time i saw dod it was watching iLan - yungblood-rommeL (buddy since elementary school) playing at Gamers-X after i had gotten done with a cs match. He got me into a few scrims here and there, and i started pubbing like a champ after that, playing with adam "maingoes" in our pub clan!
i never really watched any demos when i randomly showed up to dod in 04 but i remember watching people play at the cpl and socal lans, mostly ron (darkrabbi) for being hilariously loud and tking people when they didnt cap with him. like dan said tofuman was a beast. best lan cry ever is a tie and the award goes to jeff spry and prostar for throwing a chair in the byoc~
oh and the first time i met the twins when we played together at that tourny at GX NICE MINIVAN SPIDER
shoutout to all the former rejectz/dodealers!

Re: Your biggest DOD influences
I don't think I was ever influenced by other players even when starting out. I always just looked for little tricks (scoped crouch hop peeking, pale ass angles/spots, whatever) to get an edge and develop my own style.
I think the only players that influenced me are people like Taylor and Ryan, or just playing against teams like gskiLL and THUNDER in general, and that's only within the last year or two. Made me realize the typical playstyle had changed a bit from when I was last around, and I'd have to adapt to that to be on top. I did, now I'm better than everybody again, pz.
