Your biggest DOD influences
Re: Your biggest DOD influences
I did like tellah, hilariously deep voice, and overall a good guy. I think it was like 9thSS that he and a few guys were from that came over to hb.
With that i think benjamin skwirut is probably who i most respected as a leader. He was always chill, mature and smart. Also, alpha_male was one of the best tommy/unters ive played with, he was very smart. I also remember mako and daner from cosa/ilan being solid consistent players, varm was great early on, he lost a step by the time he joined us in deadbolt.
Honorable mention(if anyone remembers him): nick mow, kid had the most frusterating style of play ever and never took anything serious, if he had he would of been ten times as good as he was.

I feel like such a dork for typing this but **** it.
I haven't played nearly as long as many of you guys but back in the pub days it was some awesome guy named "worst dod player ever" and some Diesel guy.
When I tried out TPG a couple of seasons ago I was blown away by the skills of most guys around but the people that I tried to learn from was jarrod, toxinator, jaggon, ryanemo and frank.

Like I said, when you've been around as long as I have, there are way too many people to list. Nobody really mentioned any of the old ilan guys like Zypher, a-mob, v-arm and a few others. I remember we (nude) were always doing battle with ilan and there nade glitching in 3.1, those were the good ole days.

For me it was always Ackpath for rifling, Marshall_D for sniping, and Eckman for my heavying. I would never say I was great at this game, but these guys really helped me step it up to a level where I could basically hold my own at any time when I was going from a CAL-O pubstar up to CAL-I/M in the CPL era

None of you have influenced me. That is most likely the reason I'm still terrible after 10 years of this game. Nice to see y'all "top" players need to ballride and jerk each other off on 1911 rather than just vent.

Its ok you can admit that your whole dod life changed when we met each other back in 82nd and my Team UK debut vs the mighty Team Hungary made you think "wow I want to be more like this guy who cusses me on ventrilo constantly and referees rap battles between Charlie and Jimerson with swatch."
Can't believe you didn't even mention DinG. I am telling.
