It's cause and effect. Do good things and you foster good nature; do bad things and you foster bad nature; do "X" things and you foster "X" nature. It is the inescapable and cyclical cause and effect of everything, and does not solely apply to the realm of morality assuming one subscribes to morality as being an entity in the first place. If you subscribe to more deterministic notions, as karma tends to fall under, then the idea of morality begins to disappear because it relies on the existence of choice. Though difficult to accept especially for us Westerners, "choice" is largely an illusion. Really everything is cause and effect. Or, karma.

It has nothing to do with doing good things so good things happen to you. That's arguably selfish on some level. It has no bearing on any environmental effect outside of fostering a good nature within, even in the face of terrible events happening to us.

Karma is part of ying yang. Every action has good and evil. Buddha himself was not without air. By sharing the grain of the worlds rice we can all become a better part of social society. What I mean to say is that we are leafes floating in the windy air. Let go of attaching to yourself and good karma will be discovered by you're sleeping soul. End the hibernation.

I subscribe to US weekly, and People magazine. Does Karma come with any of that?

I agree any action might have the potential for good and evil, but I don't think every action inherently contains good and evil. Even these are just words though

I believe a FF win or loss doesn't effect playoff seedings. I'd let them use ringers and I think in most ****, others should too. Just keep the ringer from the division of play or lower. ToggleON worked with them on scheduling and HK still didn't even manage 5. HK can't make the playoffs unless they win by approximately 4000 points. And p2o would have to lose by a bit as well. Don't think this thread was necessary, but 1911 wouldn't be what it is today without threads like this. Reschedule it for Sunday prior to, or after your regular match.

Have a nice day.

P.S. Why did Josh start this thread....not on either team. -Neg-

You get at least 10 karmas with every year long subscription. It's in the fine print.

he said in vent the same night that he could've cared less what had happened between the 2 teams and was just fishing for rep lol. it worked though, as it got a few people to troll Toggle ON/"rustle some jimmies" and consequently indirectly insult HK at the same time -__-

this whole thing was never a big deal between the 2 teams. the forums made something out of nothing. ducks handled it the way he would've handled it with any team (1 ringer in the same division and who belongs in said division? sure. 2? eh, especially after the match was already rescheduled once to accommodate them). i don't think HK's perceived skill by some of the 1911 faithful warrants them being treated any differently compared to every other team, as again, that's insulting to HK regardless of their actual skill level.

i guess their (the jimmy rustlers) arguments in regards to the FF would be valid if they somehow got someone from HK to willingly admit/post outright what some in here are rudely insinuating about their team's ability, which does seem rather unlikely. so, until then, keep on trollin'. too many people in here care about what doesn't concern them. shut up and play (directed towards EVERYONE in this worthless thread, my team included).

The scene in Blazing Saddles comes to mind when the guy stands up in the church townhall meeting extolling Gabby Johnson for his, "authentic frontier jibberish" about this whole 3 page thread. (can't figure out how to post the vid clip) MOONFACE=noob

HK has always shown up for our matches. (I do believe, to the best of my recollection their were two other occassions that we had to enlist the use of ringers this season.) This one particular time, we flaked. Badly. Yes, we were graciously given a later start time to accomodate the player who worked on Sunday. We had two noshows. The only two players that were available, known to myself and DD were the two aformentioned earlier in this thread. By their rights of first refusal, permission was not given to us to allow them to participate. Again, by TPG rules, within their rights. We tried feverously to locate two other players but to no avail. There was no other option but to FF the match. Ducks has graciously asked me if we would like to reschedule the match, but, it would be an embarrasement to us, the league, and ultimately, to ToggleOn, if we pulled a boner and noshowed, again. I sheepishly declined.

How this all went from an FF to bashing european players to bashing josh is quite amazing to me and is quite astonishing.

insert the scene when the pastor addresses the congregation at the town hall meeting from the same movie.

no worries man. if ya can reschedule some time sunday for a double header weekend for both teams, awesome. if not, who cares lol. real life takes precedence over worrying about playing a video game match and obviously your team had real and important things to tend to that night. again, this was never a big deal to begin with and as far as i know both teams are just as friendly with each now as we were before our unplayed match, but things just evolve on these boards from the input of many whom these situations never concern.
