Re: Poizoned Down.
shortcut if you don't want to read the wall of text:
don't think poizoned was cheating, beast always cheats, only fishy thing was him crouching on stairs at his axis first.
honestly i can't believe i'm going to say this but i think the only person cheating in this demo was beast. the only fishy thing i really saw was the crouching on the stairs for 0 reason...if you slow it down to 1/4 speed though he doesn't pre-aim the kid at all or anything. just a flick shot....just don't really know why he was crouching there considering dpk's reason behind him doing that was he was looking for eddie, who just got a kill 5 seconds prior to him even getting to the steps.
as for the connector spams, that's just how people play now adays. if you think he's cheating because of that, then i guess rusty was cheating his entire dod career because he hit the craziest spam spots all the time, and was always dead on. also guess that means i cheat because pretty common spam spots like that i shoot at whenever i hear a noise. i realize the cheats you can get now adays are apparently amazing from what people have told me [
] but if you just look at his playstyle, the kid legit plays like a retard. some people have said his quick switch is his toggle button but throughout the demo i watched him quick switching constantly and just straight up running into people. there were a lot of shots that if he were cheating he would have killed people and had a justified reason to have killed them (ie: guys in connector/blue room/lower red)
and i realize everyone has their own opinion so i'm not posting this to try and get a rise out of josh or anyone saying otherwise, just my opinion as a player who used to cheat all the time back in the day(actually 80% of the reason why i ever got good as funny as that sounds) and has played on the top team for years now online and on LAN. and if the only thing you have in response to that is "yeah you were on the top team when DoD was dead LolLZzOLllLolZ", i played against plenty old school upper tier invite players online AND on LAN after they were well greased up again in the DoD world and playing very well and was still on a top 3 team starting back into my aPro days.

Re: Poizoned Down.
I will say it again. Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. This whole oldschool vs the new school is getting silly. We arent all 30 taylor, im about to turn 26 in september so its not like im a whole hell of alot older then alot of you guys, I just started at a young age. Thats cool ryan I respect your opinion, however I just feel diffrent from what I saw. Is it full out blatent? no... but is it very fishy and some bullshit at times? yes...

if it looks like shit, smells like shit, it is most likely a giant pile of shit.
i haven't watched the demo, nor will i watch the demo. it just always seems funny to me that certain types of players are always associated with other fishy players, and they all look strange when they play, and they do strange things, and for years they always get accused. there are players that have been around for so long that NEVER get accused or disputed no matter how well they play, and there are players that are always getting disputed and always getting accused. and the suspicious ones always seem to be butt buddies and end up on the same teams together for years and all stick up for each other. that is obviously not a reason for a ban, but i refuse to believe that it is just coincidence that it happens like that so much. and i played cal-p and cal-i CS for years before touching dod, and it happens the same way in the CS world as well.
there are players like austizzle, or taylor, (just off the top of my head) who got so good so quick, that they were catching some accusations. some coming from me, especially about austin. but once you watch them, everything looks natural with their gun firing, and you can just tell they are playing smart and making informed decisions based on sound, death notices, and good communication from teamates. theres nothing i see from them that is unexplainable, and theres nothing they do that i would not have done or been able to do myself. then there are players like poizoned, or ceebz, (just off the top of my head) who have odd looking recoil, do things on a regular basis that make you think "huh?", and just play in a strange manner. i cant describe what it is, but the phrase "i just cant put my finger on it" comes to mind. there is just something odd about them.
sort of just rambling at this point.

length of time playing dod doesn't determine whether cheats or doesn't cheat. couldn't that mean he has had "such a long time" to learn how to hide it better and not get caught?ao_ wrote:I am not going to watch the demos, but Javi has been playing for a long time. Everyone used to call cheats on him when I played actively and that was like two years ago. You would think that two years (and he was good at that time) would allow you to continue to improve upon your skill... I always find it ironic when people calls cheats on players like poizoned, greetz, and element when they have been playing for such a long time. It is as if that mentality of when they just started becoming good and the more established players cannot accept it, but carried on for years...

Re: Poizoned Down.
1. I never said pub cheating was the one thing that made me a good AC. I think it contributed to it. I think it had its benefits. Oh and Mr. "Let me bring my Statistics 101 terminology to the argument here," correlation is not causation.stealthlol wrote:Three things:
1.Why does that make you a good AC? If you cheat in a pub and make a mistake, you have the risk of some kid calling you out which will amount to either a. nothing or b. you'll get banned from a pub. Cheating in a match would require much more will not just shoot at everything, peek everybody, etc. I don't see how that correlates is all.juliowinnfredo wrote: I had personal experience cheating on pubs so I know what cheating behaviors are.
2.As far as I know (from conversations with people and reading this forum), you have been "caught" cheating countless times and been cleared every single time. I have heard people say that the AC's think you were cheating in some 12man or scrim. I have heard many a player tell tales of you blatantly cheating. And yet here we are, still able to play in TPG. If the AC's are banning on reputation alone, shouldn't you have been banned a while ago? Note, this is in no way bashing you or accusing you, just some simple reasoning.juliowinnfredo wrote:RWC's real problem though are his perceptions of players. Every day he's "blown away" and "in awe" of some new player he just got a demo of (who is in fact fairly mediocre). He'll also post on 1911 making public statements about how fishy a disputed demo is before he even watches it.
And finally,Do you call it "wells"?juliowinnfredo wrote:The only really fishy parts of poizoned's demos are when he's capping wells and is able to crouch walk around the barrels at wells to keep himself perfectly hidden from 99 players peeking from underpass.
2. Just because I've been cleared in situations (of which you obviously don't have any real knowledge beyond hearsay) that means it's impossible for admins to not be influenced by reputation in other situations? Your argument isn't logically coherent here.
3. In the heat of battle, one thing may become many.
Re: Poizoned Down.
i like his post rob. i know it's hearsay, but i have heard similar things about you countless times. and hearsay starts from facts usually, it doesnt mean it's totally not true. you're a good guy and have always been very cool to me, and i liked playing with you this season, but i cant stand the connection you have with cheating/being caught/being accused/admitting to cheating in pubs. it seriously bothers me bro.
Re: Poizoned Down.
How is this turning into another "Let's accuse Rob of cheating" thread? Stealth's argument was that despite my reputation I've been cleared in the past, which precludes the ACs from being influenced by reputation. Then you come in, Joey, and say "YEAH I'VE HEARD YOU CHEAT AND I DON'T LIKE IT!"
You need a lesson in reading comprehension Joey. Sadly, working at Vitamin Shoppe won't provide that.
I know everybody's thoughts naturally gravitate to me, but can we return to the topic at hand?
