well, good news. i was able to get att.com tele support to reset my password for my old email. i got into the account, got the special code, and instantly updated my steam contact email lol.

as far as the mouse ward, i actually like the way it feels a lot. it's different, but not so much that it makes me feel strange when i use it. it is a little bit lighter and i noticed it at first but after a few hours, i don't notice the size or weight difference. for me it is going to be about matching the dpi on this laser mouse (or cpi, whatever they want to call it) to the 400dpi ms3.0. setting the pci feature in the steelseries engine software to 400 is waaaay too slow so it is not an exact 1 for 1 ratio for optical dpi to laser cpi. i will play some games this weekend and do my best to match it up by feel i guess.

another question for you guys... is there a cpl gui for cs:go or something similar that i should be using? Or should i just open the game up after a fresh install, set my buttons, and go frag? also, any special config/console commands i should know about aside from your game play buttons and rates?

and thanks for all of the feedback guys.

I'm in a hurry to get to work so didn't have time to read if you decided on a mouse yet or no. I would suggest the steelseries sensei, it glides really well and feels really good in my hand since I play with both the claw and palm grip, if you're used to playing with bigger mice it feels a bit strange at first, I went from the razer deathadder to the sensei and it took me roughly a week or so to feel really comfortable with it in all sorts of aiming scenarios.
Just my two cents, I'm off to cast a concrete foundation in pooring rain..

You will need to disable mouseaccel, it's enabled by default.
m_customaccel 0
m_mouseaccel1 0
m_mouseaccel2 0
m_mousespeed 0

(think those are correct..)

Most Matchmaking servers runs on 64 tick(unless they've changed it) so these should be fine.
rate 80000 cl_cmdrate 64 cl_updaterate 64 cl_interp_ratio 2 fps_max 300.

I've been considering getting a sensei raw because the scroll wheel on my IE3.0 likes to stick between scrolls and randomly click off. This is a problem because I have jump bound to mwheeldown :/

mine started having scroll wheel problems, but not that one. mine seemed to register a scroll at random times when i don't even touch the scroll wheel. one of the few main reasons i got the sensei.

coming from the same mouse as you, i can say that i really like the sensie. it is very easy and quick to get used to the shape of it. it is a little bit lighter in the hand, but i not only got used to it but now i prefer to have the lighter weight. i personally like the glossy finish on it with the frost version, but i ALMOST got the rubber black finish just because i feel like it would feel great to play with.

i would highly recommend trying a sensei raw ward

Is there any noticeable acceleration? I haven't heard good things about the xai/sensei because of that. Let me know.
