TPG Season 27 W4 SaB vs ^_-KS_-^

The "win the finals by intimidation" FF from SaB
ZinK later set-up and suspended
Yaso retired never to play organized DoD again, only to be found in pubs
mil0 returned to graceland where he belonged

NOBODY
Expected us to actually BEAT SaB
in the following year
on the same map as the finals they dodged
but we did
And everyone shut right the **** up
KS was moved to Main
Obliterated
Disbanded

The type of behavior from league officials you might now find disgusting considering we were 2x the size of any team in TPG at the time, and in fact had TWO teams, in TWO divisions, that were both crowned champions that season, one way or another.
Then treated poorly by the league
Gone 1 season later
Way to kill your own game

I respect the fact you know what was coming to you, i am disgusted by your captains sportsmanship. Im sorry we were a part of that whole thing. If you and I were Captains at that time, we would have made that a final to remember. I wish you would come back and help me get things going again :/ Ilu bro </3

Ranked system much like basketball (much debated on a possible way to save league interest that was pissed away by people that dont give a shit about the game, and never should have been in charge in the first place, if this is the state they planned to leave it in)

It's Day of Defeat and you're on a team, and there is another team talkin MAD shit about you, are you gonna sit down like a lil bitch and say "deadgame guys, im done?" Or man up and play that match request.

Are you gonna be the one who comes on 1911 and says "Yea we asked dgf to play us but they STILL wont accept the match request, them **** is MUDDY..."

Maybe "We didnt want to, but we played the south americans. One got life banned, and we STILL won. gg beaners"

Or the once in a lifetime, "Hey, 38th played us 12 times in a row and lost every one, never bitched, what a true show of sportsmanship. Good show. I hear Sp|der let his 2yr old play the second half. The best part is knowing tenks got capped by a 2 year old 7 times in one half. gg 38th"

There isn't anything wrong with starting up a league for some casual dod match-play. DoD has always been a fun game to play (minus the silly bugs). If I was 17 again with plenty of time on my hands I'd gladly sign up and play a few matches.

point to consider:

I don't intend to sound like an asshole by saying this so please don't take this personal: As far as the rest of your post goes - It's pointless to delude yourself into thinking you'll see dod reach a high level of competition in 2015 and beyond. Competitive dod reached it's peak in 2005 with Summer CPL and and it's decline became obvious with the decreased level of competition in CPL 2006.

However, even with the major competition gone, dod is still dod. There is no shame in enjoying a game that you like playing.
