I might be wrong but I read that by the time euros had ESL among other leagues they had a very competitive scene. Prior DoD in CPL's, europeans were very organized and people like Hn were considered the top players. And about the "dynamic trio" from what I know they came to play in a pug. They haven't come with a full roster, have them?
Hannibal played long before any of that and he was a beast, way better than anyone else. There weren't any other euros that were that good at that point. His aim and recoil control was years ahead of the curve, NA or Euro. Go back and watch any other movies from that era and compare it to him standing at the axis first flag on zafod killing 5 or 6 people with a garand clip. No one else could do stuff at that level.
But, outside of Hn, the top teams/players by reputation were split pretty evenly between the continents and anytime top teams did get together for showmatches they were pretty even.

Then they started making fun of us for playing so slow and camping and couldn't believe this is how north americans played and were bragging euros were way more skilled (while we were beating them.)
Has it always been like this? Why are they entirely too aggressive? How did Euro play style evolve so differently than ours.
Even the euros make fun of HD. Lawl.

You might want JaGGoN's memory to kick in here but I think Eximius played against them at WSVG for a few scrims and I don't recall any of them doing anything spectacular.
I remember playing Euros a few times around the time of CEVO, they played slow as hell. Where we might average around 25-30 deaths a game (depending on the map) they would try and average around 15-20. Maybe I am just talking out of my ass on that but its just something I remember seeing. It was kinda like watching the x6 vs Complexity finals with sparz and max proning in street but half of both teams at each flag. lol
