Actually, prior to the orangy 3v3 tourny there were 2 seasons (17th and 18th) and from a season to another the number of teams decreased quite dramatically, with a lot of teams dying and ff'ing their matches without any reason at all. Season 18th had 6 teams by it's very end with dgf ended up winning. The last good 3v3 season that I recall was season 16 (2010), that had almost 16 teams until playoffs. That's the season you might be recollecting. It is a shame that we can't get back there in terms of 3v3. I mean, 30 odd teams (more than 200 people) in tpg, 30 of those players are bound to enjoy it!
