You idea isn't as half as bad, Nunz. However you didn't considered the skill gap between these teams. TPG have been getting more teams season after season because we try our best to make divisions even in regards of skill level, even if we have to add south american/european teams in to the mix. Besides, this is just pre season 1. Let's see how it goes because if we have to do move ups or move downs be assured that we will do.nunz wrote:The only alternative I could think of is two main divisions, one for SA and one for NA/Euro. Im assuming big D thought of this already but I thought why not. We could have fun with the playoffs like top 4 from each side make for the Main title and then the next top 4 for the IM title.

I found UK servers to be quite bad though.greetz wrote:I reg better on polish servers than our shit boxes too.
Skill gap is always a problem I agree cass. But I did leave in the part about the two playoffs for that reason. Lets say for arguements sake that these are the final standingscassinoroyale wrote:

I've said it a million times, people from NA are just as hard to hit, sometimes even harder to hit than people with high ping. All having that high ping does is give you more delay and make the game feel way more frustrating. I don't think the internet in Argentina is very good, that's probably why they're a bit more skippy than everyone else, also pretty sure most of them interp because there's no way to monitor that setting, so you get shot around corners worse than usual (I could be wrong though). High ping is way more of a disadvantage than an advantage, hence why everyone would rather play with good ping.Jakimo wrote:i politely disagree nuns. notice how we all rage cuz we cant hit them, skippy, odd hit boxes... believe it or not, ive played on both euro/south american servers recently and we get that same advantage against them. I actually look forward to and enjoy playing on their servers now and then as my KD ratio is always higher.
my 1 cent.
Really like the idea but I'm just afraid that it would be too unbalanced for the IM Teams. For example the NA division has 7 MAIN teams and 4 IM teams. Those IM teams have a higher percentage chance of playing a main team rather than playing another IM team.nunz wrote:Skill gap is always a problem I agree cass. Im not by any means saying this is the "best" way to doing this it just seems to be the only alternative. I dont mind the way it is at all because I would agree that fixing the skill gap is better than any other scenario.
+1, except on the part of the interping (majority of, at least argentinians, doesnt even know what interping means, i assume its putting the ex_interp in 0.1). high ping is a disadvantage, we would love to play withouth ping, but we've got what we've got.nomis wrote:I've said it a million times, people from NA are just as hard to hit, sometimes even harder to hit than people with high ping. You have a solid point there Dog. I guess its pick your poison really. It would be cool to have 4 SA/NA teams from each, makes it conferenced like an AFC/NFC (NFL) style.dogfire wrote:Really like the idea but I'm just afraid that it would be too unbalanced for the IM Teams. It's probable that during the regular season each IM team will play a MAIN team at least 5 times. If we assume by skill gap that a MAIN team will always beat an IM team then that automatically gives IM teams 5 losses. Which would be a pretty shitty position to make playoffs. I know a lot of assumptions are made here but it's a probable outcome.
I don't know if they're better off playing higher skilled NA teams or equally skilled but laggy SA teams. So this still could very well be the "best" alternative.
