It's really not that hard to figure out. If you want a server to establish a user base you have to actually put some effort into it (bots won't work). You have to be willing to play in it with just a few people on a regular basis until the population starts to grow.

A 1911 pub clan or a pub clan administered by league people is actually an excellent idea. Would help incorporate pub players into league play. Dunno who wants to put the time/energy into that.

I don't think a real "pubclan" is necessary, but if you have forums (check), and psychostats and the like to keep people coming back to a community (a la mamma jamma), it could be a draw for pubbers to make their way 1911 and eventually learn and understand what competitive DoD is all about. You just have to actually put some effort into it and spend time playing there and building a user base. The problem being is that people don't want to do that, they would rather just 12 man.

If you do bots, limit them to 5 per side before removing them from the server. Make them as non-retarded as possible. I like the league map rotation. Don't give admins permaban rights because some people are **** retards and will ban anyone for anything.

Also, give me admin because I am the DoD Godfather.

As far as the server goes, i don't want to sound like a debbie downer, but don't be upset if this thing doesn't take off. This has been tried eternally. #dodscrim, #scrimdod both had one, theres been a cal league one, and a tpg one. They've all failed due to lack of use. You cant just expect competitive players to use this, because lets face it, who here wants to take the time and energy to populate a server on a daily basis. Really, this can only be done if you have a community of public server players that someone mentioned above.

As someone who runs a pub clan, let me tell you, its a lot of work and sometimes very annoying. If you don't go into this 100%, don't go into it at all.
