I think that's the trade you make though. I never really enjoyed ironsights on PC though, to me it felt like a necessity to people who couldn't aim which made it easier to use a controller rather than a keyboard and mouse. To this point I believe I enjoy DoD and CS more than any CoD or BF game released because they do not employ the ironsight. The game would never live up to the competitve community's expectations because we all would hope for a direct port of the features that make 1.3 so much fun. I would guess the game would be like Home Alone 3, it may have the title, but just isn't the same without Macaulay Culkin.

Probably wont be for a little while yet, if they do.
A recent leak of their database showed all their current projects. There was Half-LIfe 3 and L4D 3. But no Day of Defeat.

Wow, that was awesome to read through. If you click through to http://pastebin.com/Hm1dpcvX (a listing of all Valve's Jira groups) you'll notice several interesting ones: "Day of Defeat" "Day of Defeat Playtest" and "Day of Defeat Webmaster". The fact that these groups exist at all shows at least some interest from Valve. Hopefully this means something, if not a new game, at least a significant update. *Crosses Fingers*

It would be cool. But I wouldn't count your chickens just yet. It could well be related to the updates to their older games we had recently.
