What did you say? its hard to make out what you're saying when you're down near #50....
Sorry that I'm just not on your level in this game, or at least so in the minds of the people who draft lolz. In all seriousness, it seems like trying to get it done in one day might be the best way to avoid people no showing.
That's what I've been telling them since the first one. This suggestion will always fall on deaf ears though.

I said it last week, and was told that I was an idiot. I don't get why a draft has to be more than 1 weekend. Ringers can sit in a "Ringer" channel so they can be found instantly. When I was looking for a ringer for our match, I literally had no ways of getting in contact with ANY one of them. I don't know who 90% of those people are, let alone how to contact one.
One weekend. 2-3 matches a day. Thats equal to as much dod as most play in a single day anyways. Everything can be done and organized in XMVC. TPG admins always on hand for disputes (sorry, but maybe 1-2 of the admins couldn't play). First -X- number of people in vent. If you make it into the allowed number of player slots - you're going to play! If not you're a ringer. 6 man rosters as opposed to 9 man rosters. No more lower players getting screwed because they are unknown/unskilled. It's a glorified 12man anyways, why make it out to be anything more?
THEN THE SEASON CAN START AFTER A 1-2 WEEK BREAK AND KEVIN **** GARDNER CAN STOP BEING SO ANGRY AND YELLING AT EVERYONE ON THE FORUMS AND IN VENT.

And the most important one, too!

You know, I was thinking about making a ringer channel anyways for this draft thingy in the xmvc vent. Might as well do that and put under the tpg category.

If you want to play a one day tournament
http://www.enemydown.co.uk/ there you go. The purpose of the draft is to keep people occupied / interested in the 3 week grace period it takes between seasons. Not for just 1 day. 1 Day tournaments are fun but where is the guarantee people would show up for that either? It has nothing to do with what day it is on.. It has to do with people who sign up and have 0 intentions of showing. If you had no idea of how to "find" a ringer.. why would you look into it before 5 minutes before your match... Most of the ringers should be in some scrim/1911/12man steam group.. A simple 1911 message to one of them, a 1911 post that you NEED one. Many even posted in the draft results that you could add them via 1911 under their avatar. 1 Day tournaments are also single elimination... 8 - 4 - 2.. Having it over 2 weeks guarantees you more matches.. It also requires you to devote less time. Figured with spring around the corner who would want to play dod for potentially 3-4 hours straight.. Most people are busy during the weekend daytime hours.. So saying you would get a better turnout isn't valid. There is no "perfect" way to run these tournaments.. The main downfall is that people don't show. Same thing happened in previous drafts with MORE people on the roster / NO ringer list.

Then those that signed up and couldnt show for like the majority of matches wouldnt be able to play in the next draft(if there is one that is). Or something like that. There, problem solved.
