Re: Steelseries Sensei RAW
I've had 2 SteelSeries sensei's and both have suffered from the same problem of their sensors breaking after a little bit under a year of use. The DeathAdder 2013 is very good, but I really don't like the way the texture is because I feel like I can not grip it well enough. The SteelSeries Rival which I would recommend is a very close resemblance to the intelli 3.0, all my friends who have used an intelli all their pc gaming lives like the rival more now than the original, legendary 3.0.
Here is a picture I found of the DeathAdder 2013, the Intelli 3.0, and the SteelSeries Rival all on the same mousepad for size comparison.

Re: Steelseries Sensei RAW
Here is also a good list of mice
The SteelSeries Rival isn't on this list because it was released after this list was made.
The funny thing is though my favorite mice are the ones with built-in prediction, I really liked the SteelSeries Kinzu and Logitech mx518, I guess I'm used to prediction in mice

Re: Steelseries Sensei RAW
I ended up getting a Zowie FK1 due to its lack of acceleration and generally positive reviews. It's definitely smaller than my 3.0 but the reduction in weight seems to make it easier to aim. My only issue right now is my tendency to lift the mouse slightly when swiping. The low default lift off distance causes my crosshair to get stuck as I swipe. Luckily there's a few different settings for LOD so I'm going to **** around with it some more.
Re: Steelseries Sensei RAW
thanks for everyones awesome feed back. so far i am loving the sensei raw. the shape is fantastic, the smooth texture and rubber sides feel great in my hand, and i have not had any problems with the sensor like i thought i would. i also found a cpi setting in the steel series program that feels just about the same as the ms3.0's dpi. i am loving it so far. i hope devin is wrong about it crapping out in less than a year though.

Re: Steelseries Sensei RAW
idk I didn't have a sensei raw, i had a sensei fnatic edition, and I guess months of rage inducing 12mans and me slamming my mouse to my desk caused it, just a guess though

Re: Steelseries Sensei RAW
Lol, then why leave a comment about the quality? No shit a mouse is gonna die if you bang it against the desk.

Re: Steelseries Sensei RAW
Honestly though the biggest criticisms I've heard about those mice is the acceleration that comes with the laser sensor. I actually have a Xai that I shelved because of it. But if it works for you, it shouldn't matter. They aren't that expensive if they do break.

Re: Steelseries Sensei RAW
I was kidding, I enjoyed the mouse up until the point where it would randomly connect and disconnect, did various firmware updates, and at first I thought it was a usp port problem, until I was using other mice, and it didn't happen for them.Cage wrote:Lol, then why leave a comment about the quality? I like the Kinzu v2 a lot more than the sensei/xai shape though, The kinzu v2 is a lot better than the kinzu v1 which had various problems with prediction/built-in acceleration.
Re: Steelseries Sensei RAW
I agree with you on the DeathAdder. The mouse feels very good in my hand and the weight is perfect for me, but don't like the texture on top of the mouse and often lose the grip of it. Too bad they can't make a mouse with the material on the side grips(some rubber I guess) :/.devin- wrote:The DeathAdder 2013 is very good, but I really don't like the way the texture is because I feel like I can not grip it well enough.
And then this happened ~2-4 weeks ago
To answer your questions, no I don't smash the mouse in the desk. Neither have I drop it/dropped anything on it.
