Yeah, but that involved 12mans to. But it kinda got **** up cause some people abused the flag capping to get rank 1. Lol'd when I saw tox with 3k caps on every map.
That's a lot of free time...

Come cut my grass Tox, ****. It's about 3 ft tall in my field. Paying handsomely with handsome.

If you mean by one guy standing on the flag and one guy proned so you can tab out and let it cap by itself? Then yes.

dat xero wrote:Not sure if this has ever been posed before since I had been away from this community for a long time until recently playing this season or if it is even possible, but was wondering with some degree of simple coding could some kind of simple statistical add-on/a secondary config be created and run on a server in the background that keeps track of individual players' caps, kills, deaths, k:d ratio, maybe even assisted frags during a match and logs them with TPG in some way or creates a file when the match is over with all the stats to either be uploaded to TPG or for someone from each team to enter the stats on the site. Once entered in some way the site could keep a running total of each player's stats and averages and whatnot. could even archive previous seasons' stats and keep "career" totals for players. might be too much work to put into a dead game, but i think it would be cool to see how individual players perform in each match/over the course of a season and playoffs/multiple seasons, like real sports. that along with some live streams of matches could make keeping up with/watching matches more fun and interesting for the community. just a thought.

We actually started work on this at TPG. This is why we created the TPG Roster Check server add-on. The verification of who is playing was the first step and this server add-on does this. However, currently the server add-on only works on Linux servers, so until we can get it working on Windows servers we can't really proceed.

Running this server add-on will let you know if there are unrostered or suspended players in your match though.

never checked back with this thread as i assumed no one would continue to reply after sears' post. glad to see it sparked some kind of convo. if this was a good idea back in '06, well sorry i didn't know because i wasn't involved in the competitive community then. the idea also wasn't because i wanted to obsess over stats, was more to make it like real sports/e-sports. just interesting to follow the numbers. you ever see a starcraft tournament and all the stats they come up with for those players? just kind of cool. i don't know much about programming but how hard would it be to port the linux version of the add-on you mentioned, sp3c-bullet, to work on windows servers?

My contact for making the server mod was "|RIP| Fysiks |mR" on my Steam Friends list. He had a buddy that helped make it. I don't know much about creating server add-ons. I coded the web service that the server add-on hits which gets the information from the TPG database for it.
