Here is my second league draft from tonight. 50 dollar league. it is a 10 team league so the rosters are a bit more stacked, but i think i have the best bench in the world there. every one of those guys are guys that i have mentally targeted in the late rounds. couldn't be happier with the depth. i also got andrew luck in the 11th, which is sickening. and sproles in the flex?? in a ppr league?? holy shit. i just have my doubts about cook at TE but i waited so long to get TE that it wasn't a bad pick at that moment. i just have to hope the guy lives up to his physical abilities and the annual hype he has around him... which never ends up happening lol.

Here is my mess of a first draft. It's a 12 team, non-PPR league. Also, if you have already posted how much you hate Morris (looking at you Seven ;) ) then you can skip that pick in your critique.

Alfred Morris (10)
Peyton Manning (15)
Roddy White (34)
David Wilson (39)
James Jones (58)
Rob Gronkowski (63)
Golden Tate (82)
Andre Brown (87)
TY Hilton (106)
New England (111)
Andy Dalton (130)
Lawrence Tynes (135)
Joique Bell (154)
Brandon Pettigrew (159)
Santana Moss (178)
Jeremy Kerley (183)

Some thoughts on my draft:
-I normally would go RB1 and RB2 for my first 2 picks but Peyton was available at 15 and he is going to have a monster year (fingers crossed). He has a ton of weapons and when you look at how shitty the defenses are in AFC West (not to mention Jacksonville and Philly) it just won't be fair.
-My WR1 is pretty weak.....pretty disappointed with that pick.
-Gronk in Round 6 is hopefully going to pay off. A lot of people are scared to draft him due to injury but all the reports are saying he is ahead of schedule. Even if he is put on the PUP list he will still be back after week 6 which is enough time to get some value during the regular season and playoffs from him.
-Golden Tate and TY Hilton in Rounds 7 and 9 are awesome I think. Russell Wilson is going to target Rice and Tate a lot especially with Harvin on the PUP list for the start of the season. And TY Hilton is going to blow up this year, he had a great second half of last season.

i would agree with all of your "thoughts" on the draft. peyton brees and rodgers are the only 3 i would consider picking near the top, but not that high in the 2nd. being that high i would have stuck to the rb/rb strategy. bottom of the 2nd though, if one of those 3 is there... hard to argue against that. santana moss was a wasted pick imo. i would use a pick at that spot to try to grab a flier. someone who has break out potential. there are some good fliers out there. same goes for the kerley pick. i wouldnt touch anyone in the jets passing game. but i like ty hilton a lot just like you do. tate i am not sure about but russell has to throw it to someone and with harvin gone and rice on and off the field, he should get a lot of looks. not sure what i think of wilson right now considering brown will vulture all of his goal line touches away. i like that you have brown also though. D is drafted rather high based on what i like to do. i like to play a lot of match up defense week to week, and i get my defense very very late. for example, i just drafted colts D (ranked 32nd in most if not all fantasy rankings) simply because they are playing the raiders week 1. then i'll dump them. i also got the bucs too cuz they play the jets, so im not sure who i'll go with. although i did pick broncos D in my original post because i just didn't like ANY of the available players at the time and the broncos D is worthy of a non-bottom 2 pick.

draft seems well thought out, with back up support behind wilson, gronk and manning. i still say wait on qb and stack your WR/RB position with your first 4 picks though. RB/RB/WR/WR in any order even any combination of RB/RB/WR/RB is pretty awesome.

10 Teams so teams are a bit stacked; no-ppr

(8) Ray Rice
(13) Dez Bryant
(28) Jimmy Graham
(33) David Wilson
(48) Danny Amendola
(53) Russell Wilson
(68) Ryan Matthews
(73) Torrey Smith
(88) Daryl Richardson
(93) T.Y. Hilton
(108) Rams D
(113) Denarius Moore
(128) Carson Palmer
(133) Heath Miller
(148) DeAndre Hopkins
(153) Garrett Hartley

Really like my team. RB's will do well with a nice snag of Daryl Richardson who could have a breakout year (we'll see), my WR's are stacked with a surprising pickup of T.Y. Hilton late in the draft considering he did really well last year (my thoughts of him), Russell Wilson early pick up just cause im a homer

Is it bad that my draft is in 3 days and I have no idea who 95% of these people are? I'm going to assume no.

i really like your team also. those are all players i am high on. although if your league was a ppr league or even a .5ppr league, this team would make a LOT more sense and would be a hell of a lot better. normally i would have grabbed a RB with your 3rd pick because graham is NEVER there at the top of the 3rd even in a 10 team draft. but if it were me, i very well might grab graham at the top of the 3rd but only if i went RB/RB. if i went RB/WR and graham was available at my 3rd pick, that would be a very tough call for me. in ppr i would take him, no ppr i would have went best available RB. either way, i like hopkins, bryant, richardson, hilton, rice, and wilson. and i wont comment on wilson's draft spot because it looks like you have already admitted you reached and that you could have gotten him in the 8th or 9th (especially in a 10 team and not a 12 team). i would have tried to grab bernard pierce at some point though

well first off, you have an elite QB. as ive said before, brees rodgers and manning (in that order) are the only QBs i would consider taking at the top of the draft. so that is solid. I have concerns about foster's health, but if he's healthy he is a good pick at #3. right around where i think he'll end up by the end of the season. i also feel like because of jonathan stewart starting on the PUP list, deangelo williams as your RB2 will be solid for the first 6 weeks and maybe 8-9 weeks as they ease stewart back into the line up.. but normally i would say your RBs are really weak which is bad in a standard scoring league. BUT your WRs are pretty damn sick and i think jordy nelson as your WR3 in the flex is pretty strong. fitz and welker will be target machines and catch 90+ balls each no problem. bengals D is going to be an elite fantasy D, so that's solid for you, although 9th is a bit high. i like match up defenses so i play a different defense every week almost. also a kicker at #8 was waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too early.i like rueban randle as a sleepr/bench player though. nicks is always hurt and cruz plays the slot so he is going to be a big target for eli on the outside and in the redzone if nicks is banged up. ingram has almost no starters value due to being in a 3 back committee there.

all in all, i think you had a strong top half of the draft but missed on some available sleepers in the later rounds. try to target the physically gifted guys who are in their 2nd or 3rd year, that are in starting roles on shitty teams (cecil shorts, daryl richardson, michael floyd, TY hilton) because those are the types of guys that are going to be on the field a lot, and have the physical abilities to go nuts, even if it's for a bad team. this is fantasy and even garbage time points count so guys like michael floyd and cecil shorts who will be throwing the ball alot at the end of the game trying to catch up will rack up a lot of easy 4th quarter fantasy points.

Second time playing fantasy football, first time doing my own draft. I only had 30 minutes to prepare, but I think i did ok?

Tom Brady NE - QB
Julio Jones Atl - WR
Demaryius Thomas Den - WR
Danny Amendola NE - WR
Adrian Peterson Min - RB
Ahmad Bradshaw Ind - RB
Kyle Rudolph Min - TE

Bench:
Robert Griffin III Was - QB
Golden Tate Sea - WR
Rashard Mendenhall Ari - RB
Antonio Gates SD - TE
Brian Hartline Mia - WR
BenJarvus Green-Ellis Cin - RB

Janakowski is my kicker, and I have the Packer defense/special teams.

I really don't know much about fantasy football, so don't flame me too hard :D
A lot of my later picks were last second choices, the guy in front of me took a couple players I really wanted. I ended up picking RGIII because he fell pretty far and figured I could use him as a trade piece a couple weeks into the season.
not bad at all dude.. a couple question marks there at RB like bradshaw and mendenhall, so i would keep an eye out for RBs on the waiver.
Agreed!
