Only way to beat possession football is to park the bus/counter attack. Smart choice

Hahaha, I guess my predictions for this game was wrong.Red--- wrote:lots of problems it seems.nhoj wrote:However, Spain should have no problems to defeat Netherlands.
best game ive seen in a while, i thought the ref was great. he let them play the game. I did think spain would take it but not 20mins into the match i knew i made a wrong choice.
haha cass, i knew you would react to that . Fred Isn't a bad player and I'm sure he did not dive just for a penalty. But he's pretty large(185cm/85kg) and a big player does not dive that easy. Modric/Raktic did not control it the whole game, but for most time of the game they had control over it. Overall I think Croatia performed better than Brazil, but they did not score when they had the chance(that 50/50 situation with Julio Cesar and Olic was a close call)which Brazil managed to do(with a small help from the ref).cassinoroyale wrote:lol John one thing is discuss whether Fred dove for the penalty or not and a totally different thing is put the final score under the refeere's account. Don't forget that Croatia actually didn't exactly scored, it was a own goal and ultimately bad luck. Modric/Rakitic controlled the game? u srs?
On a side note the Dutch squad revenge along with Robben's redemptive play was amazing. The top 1 goal up to now was Van Persie's head dive. Wish Falcao Garcia wasn't injured and Ibrahimovic qualified. **** Ribery.
Great games thus far, anyone watching Chile vs Aussies? Dat Bravo save. He would've saved both Oscar and Neymar's goals, An1. LoL
I think you can put a lot of blame on the referee for the result of that match. Up until that penalty Croatia had played every bit as well as Brazil had and Brazil did not look like scoring at any point(the 3rd goal came because Croatia were chasing). That is not to say that Brazil would not have scored because no one could predict that but he changed the entire context of the match by awarding that penalty, it was a shocking decision. Let's not even mention the contentious free kick that Cesar was given where Croatia ended up with the ball in the net, it was extremely soft and the keeper should have been stronger, they get way too much protection imo. On a sidenote I thought Oscar was the best player on the pitch that night.cassinoroyale wrote:lol John one thing is discuss whether Fred dove for the penalty or not and a totally different thing is put the final score under the refeere's account.
