Anyone know any exercises or stretches for straightening out your spine/pelvis?
Had slight scoliosis since I was a kid, but never caused any problems so I never did anything about it.

Now in my mid 20s it's causing problems and doctors said there isn't much I can do besides surgery (lolfukthat) apparently braces are only effective when you're still growing.

The problem isn't really with back pain, but more so my legs. My back/pelvis causes one leg to hang lower than the other and it's causing me problems while walking and especially running/jogging.

I've been doing yoga for a couple months and while it's great for core strength and relaxation, it hasn't done much for my legs.

I was thinking inversion therapy may be worth a shot, but I didn't find a lot of info on it for scoliosis treatment.

Any ideas?

You can't do physical therapy? Strengthen your back or whatnot?

You could probably find a suitable freezer for $50 - $100. Just imagine how much your life will improve if you can start eating bacon, chicken, beef, etc. on a more regular basis.

I have done physical therapy, but it didn't do much for me. The therapy is mostly for pain and not actually adjusting curvature.
The best thing I've found is lower back and hamstring stretches but it's a short term fix.

Pretty much. I'm not going to **** with spinal fusion surgery.
I've already asked on a few other sites and found that it's a somewhat common issue with a few different treatments. Figured it was worth a shot asking here.

If it was a money limitation, that wouldn't be a problem. Situation will be remedied shortly though.

james i would be glad to put together a routine for you to do to strengthen your lower back and legs. To me it seems the main focus we need to work on is your core as a whole....a lot of times compensating for back pain and even upper leg/pelvis pain can be done by strengthing your core and legs at the same time. focusing on your entire lower body from your core down will allow you to balance everything as you recover and increase recovery rate from the pain you've been suffering....core workouts with just your body weight and gradually including extra weight over time(months) we need to focus on getting your body strong enough to handle its self first and then building from there to avoid this the rest of your life. ...We need to get you doing efficient core workouts as well as lower body workouts to get you painless and feeling better. Hit me up on here with your email or phone # and we can discuss this more.

Also you do not need to be doing much running at all right now. If you can do some swimming pool routines....I can recommend and show you examples of some. When repairing injured muscles/areas we need to do the best possible to remove as much wear and tear to allow you to workout as efficiently as you can with as little pain as possible so that we can get you better in a quick manner while avoiding injuring anything else due to pain compensation while you train.
