Re: Sears Buys Out CleanDoD...?
eric sears, master anti-cheat developer.
Re: Sears Buys Out CleanDoD...?
Can i get my rep power back though?
Re: Sears Buys Out CleanDoD...?
esl has an anti-cheat client which is probably decent and already widely used. the lan, as far as i know is partnered with esl. i'd assume that since there will be a re-launch of the 1911 site, there could also be a new online league under esl. tbh, i wasn't willing to use cleandod but would be willing to use the esl one. giving access to my computer to some guy i know nothing of in brazil doesn't really interest me. however, i would be more than willing to use and even pay to use the esl one, even if i'm playing like 1 match a season like i have been. I think cleandod could have potentially killed the community and am thankful that experiment is over.
Re: Sears Buys Out CleanDoD...?
without an AC client taking your config right from the match while it's being played how would anyone be able to know the config being submitted was the one from the match? hlsw shows rates and idk of any other way to view other values of someone's config (i.e. illegal binds and other cvars other than rates) after the fact. trying to find a cheater without an AC client sounds like too much work for me lol. AC client makes it effortless and is more preventative if anything, at least imo.Miller` wrote:...and if we find that those configs are not following the rules the player will be suspended.

So unfortunately, you're all going to have to wait.
Also, NEGGED.

A client's a **** client. If you're really worried about what a program is doing, HERE YOU GO:lerfooled wrote:esl has an anti-cheat client which is probably decent and already widely used. the lan, as far as i know is partnered with esl. i'd assume that since there will be a re-launch of the 1911 site, there could also be a new online league under esl. tbh, i wasn't willing to use cleandod but would be willing to use the esl one. giving access to my computer to some guy i know nothing of in brazil doesn't really interest me. however, i would be more than willing to use and even pay to use the esl one, even if i'm playing like 1 match a season like i have been. I was hoping Sears spent the money on girls, drugs and midgets. He deserves to have good time. Midgets FTW

I wasn't claiming anything. A closer inspection of what i actually wrote will provide you with the details of my personal decision to not use the client.ward wrote:A client's a **** client.
