frankly, lerf, i was baffled after reading your thoughts. seemed very strict and biased tbh. i remember that in 2010 you pm'd questions about CleanDoD and by that time the anti cheat was down. also, saying that the client would kill the community is something really shitty to say. we all play DoD, be it once in a season or not, to have fun. unfortunatelly this very community has too many nerds trying to bypass rules they all accept to comply if they want to play in TPG. the decision of adopting CleanDoD came after severe meetings, tests, community pool and everything pointed towards its usage. i don't want to enter in the merit of your prejudiced comment towards my country because its just a coincidence that anti cheat is from down here but before going into such analysis you should have investigated a little bit further, especially if you're not that active (as you said so). peace.lerfooled wrote:I wasn't claiming anything. i think i'm lashing out because of the frustration i have when i look at the current direction of the community as a whole. there seems to be a power struggle going on now. I personally am worried that any wrong step will actually be the end of this community and have decided to not play dod. there is the excitement of a new lan and some other goodies coming, i just think that the man in charge is acting foolishly right now and don't want anything to do with it.

I feel like his bigger concern is that, while the program may not necessarily be harvesting personal information currently, it might be able to be used that way in the future.
