Season 30 Playoff Preview - Main

Post by nhoj »

92 Dream Team - 92DT

John : How do you think it went for your team so far this season?

The Bear : I'm very pleased with how this season has turned out for our team and I believe everyone on the team feels the same way. Only once did we need to use a ringer and that was on Merdilla.

John : What's your starting lineup?

The Bear : Well we have 7 Starters who consist of Majl (Heavy), Muresan (Heavy), Subject (Rifle) eneg (Rifle/3rd), Aznhunter (Rifle), Poo56 (Utility) and myself (Sniper).

John : How is your teamwork?

The Bear : I am very happy with the way our team works and communicates with each other. Majl, Muresan, Poo56 and myself have played several seasons together as GSR's main team which really helps with communication and with the addition to Subject, eneg, and aznhunter who are all great people and know the game like the back of their hand, we have no problem listening to each other and knowing our roles.

John : What was your most difficult match of this season?

The Bear: I would say our match against nogo on Solitude. Fortunately for us Khoi was not playing that match which I think really helped us with that win.

John : Which team has surprised you the most?

The Bear : PC surprised us on lennon. At one point of that match I had to say "Alright guys we need to slow down and work together a bit". It's easy on Lennon and Harrington to get carried away with pushing due to the fact that those are the 2 most heavily 12 manned maps.

John: How do you see your chances in the playoffs?

The Bear: Well I'm not promising anything, but I think we should be able to make it to the finals.

John: Who do you keep as favorites to win it all?

The Bear: Well we have worked very well as a team together and I hope we can succeed in winning season 30. I would say we have the best bench in our division. If we don't win I'd hope tmnt or nogo wins.

John: Any comments, or shout-outs?

The Bear: It's been a great season for the 92DT. Maybe some of you wonder why we didn't just stay as GSR, but I figured a name change was needed due to the new additions on the team and it just kind of gave us a fresh start to this season. I'd like to thank K jag for ringing for us on Merdilla. We still are playing dod in 2013 so thanks to everyone who is keeping this game alive. This is pretty much the only game I play. Also thank you TPG.

NoGo Gaming Faction - NoGo

John : How do you think it went for your team so far this season?

acetamino : This season seems to be going well. We've played in Upper as well as Middle and had our fair share of "reschedulings" to keep us interested.
I think we have won more than we have lost so that keeps people wanting to play as well.

John : What's your starting lineup?

acetamino : The NoGo roster consists of apple1mak on rifle, spoon on heavy, khoi taking third rifle or sniper responsibilities.
Bluerevolver will snipe if the enemy team allows us to play later than default, andy sheen plays if we feel like we cant win without cheating. He can rifle or snipe
or heavy because he cheats. Sgt. Mino likes to rifle or third, but has volunteered lately to sit which is generous of him (although we will need you in playoffs!), and sapphire
is on our roster but she just comes in vent and says, "I'm not playing see you guys later hope you lose."

John : How is your teamwork?

acetamino : We are good at letting everyone know it is match time and informing people if other people can't make it. In game we team kill a lot because we can, but andy sheen TK's so
it looks like he is not cheating. I think one match last season when Tin Bad had those stats going it recorded apple spoon khoi and I with over 5 tks per match.
Oh, we also know how to take screenshots fast so we are never the idiots standing there repeatedly saying "dont shoot dont shoot"

John : What was your most difficult match of this season?

acetamino : The most difficult match we endured this season was against PC. Trying to schedule with non-existent leadership is tiresome. In the end we played the match and I think they used some
backups which was unfortunate, but even more unfortunate was that the map happened to be harrington and it was the longest 40 minutes ever.

John : Which team has surprised you the most?

acetamino : I think TBA winning a match is pretty surprising. I have had the pleasure of doing some warm-up scrims with them and the only way I could get through it was turning music on
and ventrilo off. Then I get kicked at halftime or mid match because their sixth finally shows up. I mean, honestly, just a poor team.

John : How do you see your chances in the playoffs?

acetamino : Umm, I dont know if we will make playoffs this year because we lost the first three or four matches this season, so hopefully, when defiance does the brackets he can sneak us in there somewhere good.

John : Who do you keep as favorites to win it all?

acetamino : I have always been a Yankees fan, but they have had a lot of injuries this spring. I think the title will go to a National league team again this year - probably Washington.
I think Oakland is my sleeper team, and if LAA performs they should win the American League, but the offense will have to fill the holes the rotation has.

John : Any comments, or shout-outs?

acetamino : Forty years are required to grow a sugar maple tree large enough to tap. A tree ten inches in diameter is considered minimum tap-able size for one tap. It takes 4-5 taps to produce enough maple sap (40 gallons) to produce one gallon of syrup.

audiophile - d(-_-)b

John : How do you think it went for your team so far this season?

Carpenter : Not good. We lost our leader in Chris and pretty much fell apart. In hindsight we should have just killed the team. None of the source players Chris brought in want to play without him.

John : What's your starting lineup?

Carpenter : Me, hypnotik_, shogun and henry. Uhh I'm convincing hybrid to play dod for the first time in months so hopefully he will show up this week. Nacho left the roster for some reason so we have to try and get a hold of neg somehow and hope he will show up.

John : How is your teamwork?

Carpenter : We started off with good teamwork, but without Chris it's been hard adapting and we've struggled. When shogun dies we normally lose our double caps. I think we've switched guns/routes multiple times during all our matches without Chris.
John : What was your most difficult match of this season?
Carpenter : I guess I would say LAB because we had all our best players except Henry and still lost.

John : Which team has surprised you the most?

Carpenter : TMNT has really turned it around since the last couple seasons. Their teamwork has really improved without Tin Bad. lololol

John : How do you see your chances in the playoffs?

Carpenter : I hope the teams we play allow a ringer. We're all really competitive and solid fraggers, so whoever we play will be in for a tough match even if it's with 5.

John : Who do you keep as favorites to win it all?

Carpenter : 92dt, The Bear may like boys, but he convinced a lot of really good players join him.
Milo is winning invite, just for me.

John : Any comments, or shout-outs?

Carpenter : Shout outs to Cam Shan, milo, trance, and sloth.
Oh bear, I only pick on you because I love you.
Milo may be a jerk to me now but he's still my homie.
And t[1g], your grumpyness has always inspired me to greatness.
Where would I be without sloth? Nowhere.

netplayers Gaming - @ Net

John : How do you think it went for your team so far this season?

cAss : Bad. Very bad. At least defiance believed in me when I told him we would be just showing up for matches, for the sake of playing together. We haven't played with our so called starters a single time but all in all we had our little fun competing in the division were we belong.

John : What's your starting lineup?

cAss : It was supposed to be: dagun, Pdx, bud, neur0se, THRASHER and myself. The only player who have played all matches was dagun. LOL.

John : How is your teamwork?

cAss : It is very good actually. Bud and I serves as captains, guiding the team to hold certain areas or switch routes whenever necessary. Sucks that we couldn't play with our starters to see whether we would be a good contender for Main but we still have chances.

John : What was your most difficult match of this season?

cAss : Can't say for sure. I haven't played all matches. But on the ones I had played, I'd say that was against LIVEVIL on solitude. They had two invite ringers and although we shitted all over Mogers, Chris k4b00m stepped in into this game during 2nd half and destroyed us. Nunz did also a good job taking the advantage that neur0se is a legless sniper and controlled the garden area most of the times. Yeah, that was our hardest match indeed.

John : Which team has surprised you the most?

cAss : 92DT. I already knew they had the solid base of the old GSR squad, which is already a good sign. But in a division with teams such as NoGo and audiophiles I'd say they're the #1 team for this season's championship. I'd love to play against them in the playoffs with our starters!

John : How do you see your chances in the playoffs?

cAss : We are 2/4 but I suppose we still have chances. Thanks to TMNT's gentlemen, whom accepted to make up our Week 2 forfeit, best case scenario is that we may finish the regular season with a 5/3 score, supposedly enough for making to playoffs. I think that we can even enter with a 4/4 but we are thoroughly aiming to win these last 3 matches.

John : Who do you keep as favorites to win it all?

cAss : Like I just said, 92DT. Or maybe NoGo if Andy Sheen keeps on cheating.

John : Any comments, or shout-outs?

cAss : Thanks John for having the time of gathering up these info. I know that is kinda boring because people don't always respond so you have to track down people. Anyway, I'd like to thank every nerd that still play DoD (even d-bo), let's keep on having this game alive the longest we can! On a final note, a shout-out to the one Corey Marko, who is on the middle of releasing my movies. Pz, nerds.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - =TMNT=

John : How do you think it went for your team so far this season?

Tom : I think we did about as expected. The skill level in Main is definitely not as high as it has been in the past. Other than a team or two at the top, everyone is pretty even which made for some very close matches.
What's your starting lineup?
Heavies – Kruddy and Odin
Rifles – Scott, Jkid, and Insom
Sniper – Me

John : How is your teamwork?

Tom : A lot better than it has been in the past. This is the first season since I’ve been on TeamLess/TMNT that we have used the same players each week. In the past we always needed a ringer or had to rotate random subs in because of roster issues, so this is really the first time we have stayed on the same guns/routes for a whole season. Also, most of
us don’t take the game serious and we all really just enjoy playing together.

John : What was your most difficult match of this season?

Tom : Freeceebz on Harry was pretty difficult with a lot of axis side capouts for both teams. That one was really close until the end. The match against 92DT on Saints was difficult too but mainly because it was 5v6 for 75% of the match.

John : Which team has surprised you the most?

Tom : LAB surprised me a lot. We scrim against them quite a bit and always do really well so I’m surprised to see them near the bottom of the league. I guess they have had some roster issues too though which can always be a good team’s downfall.

John : How do you see your chances in the playoffs?

Tom : Playoffs are going to be difficult. Scott is done for the season so we will definitely have to step it up without him. There are a lot of teams with good players and it is all going to be very map specific in some cases. First playoff map is Chemille and I think you will see some upsets.

John : Who do you keep as favorites to win it all?

Tom : I know 92DT is undefeated, but I really think NoGo will take it.

John : Any comments, or shout-outs?

Tom : Yeah, to all the people who are involved in TPG and keep the league around. Also so the guys on TMNT, there aren’t another group of guys who could make a 10+ year old game as fun. Special shout out to Scott who got deployed last week, be safe buddy.

Live Evil Industries - -]L!V3V!L[-

John : How do you think it went for your team so far this season?

nunz : Cant really complain. I figured we were a middle of the pack team in main with an outside shot of a few upsets. Our lineup has been consistent lately so it has helped us with the chemistry.

John : What's your starting lineup?

nunz : Quarter, Mogers, Bewton, SKN, Nunz, avenger, Dogfire.

John : How is your teamwork?

nunz : Getting better every week that is for sure. Having bewton and mogers on the team has really helped out the baddies such as myself. All in all I think we can upset in the playoffs aslong as we bring our A games.

John : What was your most difficult match of this season?

nunz : The hardest match had to be against audiophile. Shogun kind of dominated us everywhere we went and we couldn’t turn it around. Playing 92 wasn’t easy either.

John : Which team has surprised you the most?

nunz : 92 has surprised me. With Subject, Bear and Aznhunter I knew they were going to be a top team but an undefeated season is something I didn’t think anyone in main would achieve. Hopefully we can mess that up in the playoffs.

John : How do you see your chances in the playoffs?

nunz : We should have a shot at it for sure. It will not be easy but any team realistically can make it theirs in the playoffs.

John : Who do you keep as favorites to win it all?

nunz : 92 have to be the favourite hands down.

John : Any comments, or shout-outs?

nunz : Shout outs to my teammates, LAB kiddies, Turtle power boys and all the open kids that shit on me in 12mans.

#freeceebz - #freeceebz-

John : How do you think it went for your team so far this season?

mare : To be honest, I am surprised we won any matches at all. We all play dod pretty much once a week at match time and don't really take things too seriously. Everyone on the team is pretty experienced and I think we would probably do a lot better if we took it more seriously and had some teamwork. This team was sort of put together last minute by nugz when the season started and we all just play to give us something to do on Sundays.

John : What's your starting lineup?

mare : Our starting lineup is typically Justin and Disturbed on heavy, Shawn on rifle, Labotic on 3rd/utility and either myself or Nugz sniping or on the other rifle.

John : How is your teamwork?

mare : Almost non-existent. We don't take things too seriously, so sometimes it's a mystery what gun everyone will be playing or which route everyone will be going until about 10 minutes before match time. Luckily, myself, JustiN and nugz have played together on quite a few teams in the past so we know how each other typically plays. Labotic is my buddy in real life and he has played a bit in the past as well, so there is some chemistry in that regard I guess. We also have Shawn to tell us how good he is every week and remind us all how he has carried us to every victory we have had. He is really inspiring.

John : What was your most difficult match of this season?

mare : Easily week 6 on that retarded map merdilla against 92dt. None of us knew that map at all and and didn't really know how it was played. On top of that, as if it was dod in 2004, we had a bit of team drama and were missing our starting rifle for the match. So we played the best team in main, who clearly knew the map and had good teamwork and were pretty much deflated the whole match.

John : Which team has surprised you the most?

mare : I have no idea. I don't really know any of the players on most of these teams, so I couldn't guess who would be good before hand or not. 92DT?

John : How do you see your chances in the playoffs?

mare : Hah. Probably get knocked out in the first round. If we somehow make it to the second, we will surely get matched up against a team who cares a lot more than we do and get wrecked. Yeah, not much hope at all really.

John : Who do you keep as favorites to win it all?

mare : 92DT. SubjecT is probably the best rifle in main.

John : Any comments, or shout-outs?

mare : Free ceebz.

Last Bullet - [1B]

John : How do you think it went for your team so far this season?

Quickscope : It was a rocky start. We were placed in invite. We won both preseason matches. Then we could not find a solid sixth. We lost two matches due to no sniper. We were dropped to Main. Now we have it all together in time for playoffs.

John : What's your starting lineup?

Quickscope : KO-Sniper, Seanality-Rifle, Paintball-Rifle, Tin Bad-Third, Mike?-Heavy, QuickScope-Heavy

John : How is your teamwork?

Quickscope : Very good. Each player has a lot to offer. KO has a lot of knowledge of the game. Seanality and I have been playing together since 2006. He is one of the most fast rifles I have seen in this game. Mike pushes and can dominate. Tin Bad is the unsung hero in my opinion it is very hard to find a sold third in this game. Paintball now proves he can do it in matches! As long as he has below 60 fps and the right resolution.

John : What was your most difficult match of this season?

Quickscope : Megas on Anzio was frustrating....

John : Which team has surprised you the most?

Quickscope : 92DT and TMNT Seem to do very well this season.

John : How do you see your chances in the playoffs?

Quickscope : Well.... About that. They moved us down from Invite mid season. I hope they take that in to consideration when placing us. It would not be fair if they don't count the matches played in invite. At least for points to make playoffs. All said and done we should do fine. This team has come along way.

John : Who do you keep as favorites to win it all?

Quickscope : Unfortunately to say, I would like to see the Jersey brothers+Mike win this season. With the ban of Ryan they have a good shot for sure. In Main I would have to say us, so Sean can make room on his finger for a ring with and American team =x

John : Any comments, or shout-outs?

Quickscope : Just like to thank TPG. As much crap as it gets, it is whats keeping us playing this old game.
Shout out to- The XM crew and the DoD DOTA players WHAT UP!?

point captured - -{PC}-

John : How do you think it went for your team so far this season?

Milo : From PC’s point of view, I think they’ve done well this season considering no one gives a muthaf*ck about DoD on that team except Devin. That 12 year old literally begs me to give him DoD lessons every other day. From an outsider’s point of view, I think they’ve done OKAY considering they played in intermediate last season and are a team that just shows up Sundays @9pm eastern.

John : What's your starting lineup?

Milo : I’m guessing they don’t have a set starting lineup. But my guess would be a 7 man squad that rotates between Wonderbread, Viper, DmW, Tugger, Stile, Devin, Paul Coon.

John : How is your teamwork?

Milo : Not sure since I’m not on that team, but what I will say though is when I play l4d2 with Viper & Crew, their teamwork is excellent. They have some crazy ass Y.O.LO strats on l4d2 versus mode. Also, knowing Stile and how much he loves DoD, he has good leadership skills (no homo).

John : What was your most difficult match of this season?

Milo : I would say the two matches where they lost by very small margins, I think under 11 points or something like that. If it weren’t for those two matches, PC could easily have a 4-3 record right now in TPG-Main and have their place in the playoffs sealed.

John : Which team has surprised you the most?

Milo : Definitely Like A Boss, but not in a good way. They were one of picks to win TPG-Main. But instead they are 2-5 in TPG-Main, which doesn’t make sense considering majority of their team 12man/scrim on a daily basis.

John : How do you see your chances in the playoffs?

Milo : If PC makes playoff, they would likely play 92 Dream Team which may knock them out in the first round. So yeah, chances are slim but not impossible because PC has some fraggers that could drop big numbers in both Tugger and Stile.

John : Who do you keep as favorites to win it all?

Milo : NoGo, their roster consists of some very good and experience players on it. I think players like Andy Sheen, Ploofer (Ace), and Mino could be enough to give them the TPG Main championship.

John : Any comments, or shout-outs?

Milo : Shoutout to KiD CuDi. I’m definitely buying your album on April 23. #cudder4lyfe

Like A Boss! - LiK3(-)3oSs

John : How do you think it went for your team so far this season?

SofterSin : Pretty shitty. lol We started out strong but lost 2 starters due to various reasons. The rest of the season was wondering who will show, what backups do we have, and who is going to ring.

John : What's your starting lineup?

SofterSin : Starting lineup is still in the air for some spots. Tested and true is as follows:

Grimm - Rifle
SofterSin - Rifle
Stark - Hvy
Strider - Sniper
DanJhonson - Rifle/Hvy

John : How is your teamwork?

SofterSin : Our teamwork has a nice flow to it, but when you start throwing different people in the mix and changing weapons to accommodate where we lack, it changes sometimes for the worse lol.

John : What was your most difficult match of this season?

SofterSin : Take your pick

John : Which team has surprised you the most?

SofterSin : No real surprises this season... other than what happened with us. lol

John : How do you see your chances in the playoffs?

SofterSin : We are ok with whatever happens as this season has been kind of a wash for us.

John : Who do you keep as favorites to win it all?

SofterSin : 92 all the way.

John : Any comments, or shout-outs?

SofterSin : Biggest thanks to Stark and Strider for hanging in with the team this season. We know it hasn't been easy going into every match pretty much knowing you are going to lose.<3
Big thanks to our backup, Danjhonson. Always willing and wanting to support the team in anyway possible. Much love for gh0sted and all of our 12man friends.

I was really surprised this season at NoGo dropping from invite into Main.

WAIT I WASN'T SURPRISED, THEY DO IT ALL THE TIME AND THEN PUT ON THEIR TRY PANTS RIGHT BEFORE THE PLAYOFFS. REAL. ****. COOL.

I feel better now. :p
