EAST
(1) Pacers > (8) Hawks - Pacers in 4. I expect them to get back to business now, Pacers have been bad since the all-star break.

(2) Heat > (7) Bobcats - Heat in 5. Defending champions should dom this matchup...being a 7 seed in the east doesn't say much about your team.

(3) Raptors > (6) Nets - Raptors in 6. The Nets just are not a good team...Jonas Valanciunas is a great center for how young he is. I could see him being a top center in the next few years.

(4) Bulls vs > Wizards - bulls in 6. I have a lot of respect for the bulls, they play with a lot of passion and confidence without Derrick Rose.


WEST
(1) Spurs vs (8) Mavericks - Spurs in 6. The Mavericks have a veteran roster that could do some damage in the playoffs but San Antonio is probably the best team in the league this year.

(2) Thunder > (7) Grizzlies - Thunder in 7. Since the Grizzlies got Mark Gasol back they have been tearing shit up. This roster has proven they can do damage in the playoffs before...The X factor will be if Russel Westbrook can stay healthy through these playoffs.

(3) Clippers < (6) Warriors - Warriors in 6. Very talented team, I'm not sure the Clippers will be able to defend the 3.

(4) Rockets < (5) Trail Blazers - Trail Blazers in 7. Lillard will be shining in these playoffs, really making a name for himself...especially if James Harden guards him.

I agree with all the predict's here, except chicago losing in the first round.

1) Pacers > (8) Hawks - Pacers in 4. The pacers arent playing well but atlanta is awful.

(2) Heat > (7) Bobcats - Heat in 5. Charlotte will grab at least one because their D is solid.

(3) Raptors > (6) Nets - Nets in 7. The Nets have the second best record in the east since Jan 1. I think this will be a close series but i expect the Nets playoff experience to triumph.

(4) Bulls vs > (5)Wizards - Wizards in 7. I'm from DC so i am BEYOND pumped that we are back in the playoffs. This series will be tough but chicagos lack of depth and offense will hurt over the course of a 7 game series.

WEST
(1) Spurs vs (8) Mavericks - Spurs in 4. Best coach in the league. Team is hungry and very well rested. Dirk and Monta could get hot for a game or 2 and steal a couple but the spurs are just so solid that i expect a sweep.

(2) Thunder > (7) Grizzlies - Thunder in 5. The grizzlies D is solid but i they wont be able to match the Thunders offense.

(3) Clippers < (6) Warriors - Clippers in 6 I want to pick the warriors SOOO bad but I just dont see it. FOr the warriors to win Steph and Klay would have to go off for 4 games out of 7. However, if the Warriors can steal one of the first two in LA their home crowd will be bonkers. Curry and that crowd were a match made in heaven and anything can happen.

(4) Rockets < (5) Trail Blazers - Rockets in 6. This is probably the toughest one to call. THe blazers got the 5 seed largely off their amazing first half but since then they havent played up to their seed. The rockets have the best center and 2 gaurd in the league and match up pretty well with the blazers. Expect Lillard to have a tough time with Patrick Beverly's defense.

damnit. i had an idea to post the brackets in a thread but i forgot to do it. i will come back later tonight to give my predictions when i have time. and when i do it i am going to give a full bracket prediction all the way to the finals.

Still struggling with the fact that the Wizards are in the playoffs while the Capitals aren't

(2) Heat > (7) Bobcats - seriously. the bobcats are in the playoffs
(3) Raptors < (6) Nets - lowry is having a really good season, but i feel like new jersey can pull it together to beat these guys
(4) Bulls > Wizards - poor bulls fans. they'll get one

(1) Spurs > (8) Mavericks - depth
(2) Thunder > (7) Grizzlies - KD threw up 32/7/6 averages this year. legit 50/40/90 shooter. gl defending that
(3) Clippers < (6) Warriors - not sure clippers D can keep up. definitely best series to watch
(4) Rockets < (5) Trail Blazers - lillard is cold blooded
