Re: NFL
dont think the lions are anywhere close to ready to handling the pressure of the playoffs. there is no championship pedigree on that roster, or even playoff winning pedigree. they are also not the best coached team.
as much as i hate to admit it, the packers have a great chance now that the 49rs look like hell. sketchy defense but lacy will play well in the cold months and rodgers is just too good with those WRs he has. other than that, i am not sure who to like in the nfc. the cardinals are in a slump and have no palmer at qb, seattle isnt playing the elite defense like they have been the past couple of years, every team in the nfc south is worthless.... the eagles are an interesting team to consider, but im not sure if they can do what they do in january, outdoors, in the cold, with no power run game.
as far as the AFC, i still have to go with the broncos. manning is too good, he has too many weapons, and their defense gets after the passer. the chargers could make a push, although they have fizzled out the past 4-5 weeks. but if rivers wakes up, that is a tough team to beat. patriots will always be in the race as long as they have brady, but wont make it all the way. their defense is average, and outside of gronk they have no weapons on offense worth a damn. i do like the colts a lot, simply because they have such a sick offense and luck has proven to be incredibly consistent and incredible under pressure. and he has some solid wide outs and TE there.
I am going to predict the broncos over the packers in the SB.

NFC
The 9ers look like complete trash, they won't be going anywhere.
The Cardinalds are basically done, they have no QB and still a few tough games to play, they could easily miss the playoffs.
The Cowgirls are another iffy team, if murray gets shut down, they aren't very good, i could see them making the wildcard but it's not a lock.
I don't even want to talk about the NFC south, it's a big cluster **** of badness.
The Packers are the strongest team in the NFC, mainly at home and the way it's looking based on who they have left to play, they will most likely have home field throughout the playoffs, not a good thing for the rest of the NFC.
The Seahawks are looking decent again on defense, the offense is worse now, though. I think they will overtake Arizona and win the NFC West.
The lions aren't bad, but they aren't great, they have a decent shot at making the wildcard.
The Eagles will win the NFC East and probably finish up with the 2nd seed, This is a team that had tons of offensive line injuries this season and for multiple weeks had back ups playing 90% of the time. Now with a Healthy offensive line ( only missing one starter ) the run game is picking up again.
I was hoping the playoffs would go through Philadelphia this year, it still can if the packers lose a game somehow and the Eagles win out. I do not see the packers losing to any of the teams they have left to play, the patriots were the last hope for that.
My prediction for the NFC Champ game is Eagles vs Packers @ Lambeau field, Not good for my Eagles, but anything can happen.
AFC
I don't follow the AFC as much as i do the NFC but from what i seen
The Patriots have looked pretty good and i see them going to the AFC Champ game.
The Broncos are the Broncos, they go as Manning goes. I can see them in the AFC Champ game as well.
The Chargers are decent, they have a shot at a wild card but won't be going far.
The Bengals are the worst 8-3 team i have ever seen, Andy Dalton is not very good imo.
The Colts are a pretty damn good offensive team, Andrew Luck is really special. The problem with the Colts is defense, and a not very good running game. I can easily see the Colts take out any team in the AFC even with a terrible defense because they can score a lot of points through the air.
My Prediction for the AFC Champ game
Colts @ Patriots

Re: NFL
well with rodgers hurting his calf so bad that he initially thought he tore his achilles tendon, ill have to adjust my nfc pick to seattle. cowboys are still not ready to win a divisional round playoff game. cards are on their 3rd string qb, panthers are lucky to be in the tournament at 7-8-1, and the lions i dont believe are for real.
for the afc i am still pulling for denver but they have underperformed pretty bad in the 4 games since my last post on dec 2nd. paqts are looking like the logical pick though with home field advantage throughout. but unlike the NFC, there are a few teams that can make some noise and upset some of these top seeded teams. the steelers just lost bell but i think antonio brown is having a season for the ages, and big ben has thrown for about 5k yards this season. if big ben is on, regardless of if they have bell or not, they can upset both the pats and the broncos. I also like the colts a lot, but they have slowed down entering the playoffs this year. if luck wakes up, that offense can outscore anyone in the league. so i will be watching the colts and steelers very closely.
bengals will go 1 and done, just like they always do. ravens do not have what it takes imo. ngata is coming off a 4 week "adderall" suspension (lol, this has become the default excuse for failed PED tests. too bad nobody can confirm or deny that info because the league does not release what substance was detected) and unless he dominates, i think the steelers will have their way with the ravens defense.
